Introduction to IIGF

The International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) of the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) (中央財經(jīng)大學(xué)綠色金融國際研究院) is a university-based research institute and an independent, non-profit think tank. It was established in Beijing in 2016 based on a smaller predecessor – the Research Centre for Climate and Energy Finance established in 2011. IIGF researches a wide range of topics within sustainable finance such as green finance, green BRI, carbon finance, climate finance, ESG, biodiversity finance, environmental stress testing, information disclosure, and international standardization. In addition, IIGF also provides consultancy, training, and green bond certification for banks and other financial institutions.

IIGF works with numerous stakeholders in green finance both within and outside China. Within China, IIGF is an executive member of the Green Finance Committee (GFC) of the China Society for Finance and Banking (which is the main organizing body of green finance in China) and is entrusted to provide policy recommendations to the People’s Bank of China, the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, as well as with many national, regional and local government institutions, financial institutions, and research organizations. Internationally, the IIGF conducts joint research with organizations such as, UNDP, UNEP, the OECD, the EU, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank Group, Luxembourg Exchange, Cambridge University, Oxford University, the UCL, Climate Bond Initiative (CBI), etc.

Deputy Director, International Cooperation and Research Center

The IIGF is looking for a highly motivated Deputy Directorof International Cooperation and Research Center, interested in sustainable finance, with excellentresearch, management andcommunication skills,etc.

Responsibilities：

1.Project development and management:supporting international research projects development, and managing ongoing projects.

2.Research: working on international research projects on sustainable finance;writing reports,articlesand papers.

3.Communication:supporting the communication of research findings and participating insustainable finance-related events.

4.Team management: normal personel management of International Cooperation and Research team.

Competences and Experience:

-PhD or Master's deqree in a relevant field (sustainability development, sustainable finance, environment economics, international relationship, etc).

-Research experience in sustainable finance/sustainability-related topics.

-Excellent command of English and Chinese languages skills in project management and communication.

-Excellent writing skills in English and Chinese.

-A team player with a strong sense of responsibility.

-Creative, structured, outgoing personality, and comfortable working with various stakeholders and multiple tasks.

Time and Location:
