國(guó)際食物政策研究所 (IFPRI) 北京辦事處暨華中農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)宏觀(guān)農(nóng)業(yè)研究院誠(chéng)招科研分析員(Research Analyst )1名，以支持從區(qū)域尺度到全球尺度的不同地理尺度下以政策為重點(diǎn)的戰(zhàn)略性研究。當(dāng)前的重點(diǎn)研究區(qū)域?yàn)榉侵奕龉�拉以南和南亞，但減輕發(fā)展中國(guó)家所面臨貧困與饑餓方面的挑戰(zhàn)和機(jī)遇的全球觀(guān)貫穿了該項(xiàng)目研究的大部分工作。該研究的成功將部分取決于其開(kāi)發(fā)和維護(hù)與一系列生物物理（例如水文，作物生長(zhǎng)，土地退化和土地利用）和經(jīng)濟(jì)模型相關(guān)的大型綜合空間及表格數(shù)據(jù)集的能力。數(shù)據(jù)和分析將涵蓋氣候和氣候變化的空間維度，土壤，農(nóng)業(yè)生產(chǎn)系統(tǒng)，生態(tài)系統(tǒng)服務(wù)，經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)，市場(chǎng)準(zhǔn)入以及人類(lèi)福祉等多個(gè)維度。該工作需要的核心能力為融合不同尺度、方法和學(xué)科觀(guān)點(diǎn)之間的差異。該職位為2年期固定時(shí)限、可續(xù)約，任職者向IFPRI華盛頓總部指定人直接匯報(bào)。這個(gè)職位工作地點(diǎn)在武漢華中農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)宏觀(guān)農(nóng)業(yè)研究院，但可能到IFPRI有研究任務(wù)的全球任何國(guó)家出差。

崗位職責(zé):

包括但不限于:

a) 對(duì)大量且不斷增加的各國(guó)家、區(qū)域和全球空間數(shù)據(jù)集進(jìn)行記錄、編目和管理。

b) 編寫(xiě)數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)，面向?qū)ο蠡蛎嫦蜻^(guò)程的程序語(yǔ)言代碼，以實(shí)現(xiàn)與生物物理和經(jīng)濟(jì)應(yīng)用相關(guān)的大型數(shù)據(jù)集的專(zhuān)業(yè)分析功能。

c) 能夠闡明并實(shí)現(xiàn)與GIS相關(guān)的技術(shù)產(chǎn)出（例如，重分類(lèi)，重投影，多準(zhǔn)則模型構(gòu)建，網(wǎng)絡(luò)分析）所需的空間（主要基于柵格數(shù)據(jù)）分析任務(wù)。

d) 與IFPRI和CGIAR的信息技術(shù)專(zhuān)家合作，協(xié)助設(shè)計(jì)通過(guò)內(nèi)部網(wǎng)和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)共享空間數(shù)據(jù)、分析工具和分析結(jié)果。

f) 處理給定多邊形（空間或行政邊界）或GPS點(diǎn)的基本生物物理數(shù)據(jù)，以使其與農(nóng)戶(hù)調(diào)研數(shù)據(jù)相匹配。

應(yīng)聘條件:

a) 具有工程、地理、自然資源經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)或相關(guān)領(lǐng)域碩士學(xué)位

b)精通C++，F(xiàn)ortran，Python或Java等科學(xué)編程語(yǔ)言

c) 熟悉數(shù)據(jù)管理、處理和分析

d) 能夠熟練使用GIS軟件（例如ArcGIS或GRASS）

e) 熟悉遙感應(yīng)用和建模，特別是在農(nóng)田、草地和林業(yè)方面

f) 具有良好的中英文讀寫(xiě)、聽(tīng)說(shuō)能力（需提供英語(yǔ)能力證明材料）

h) 能夠獨(dú)立有效地與來(lái)自不同文化背景的同事一起工作

i) 具有較好的社交能力

Job Summary:

Beijing Office of International Food Policy research Institute (IFPRI) and Macro Agriculture Research Institute (MARI) of Huazhong Agricultural University seek one qualified candidate to support strategic, policy-focused research across a range of geographic scales from sub-national through to global. Current regional foci are Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, but global perspectives on challenges and opportunities for poverty and hunger alleviation in developing countries pervade much of the work of this program. The success of the research program will depend, in part, on its ability to develop and maintain large, integrated sets of spatial and tabular data linked to a range of biophysical (e.g., hydrological, crop growth, land degradation and land use) and economic models. Thematically, data and analyses will encompass spatial dimensions of climate and climate change, soils, agricultural production systems, ecosystem services, economic activity, market access, and multiple dimensions of human well-being. The ability to bridge gaps between different scales, methods, and disciplinary perspectives is central to the work of the program. The incumbent will report to the IFPRI researcher in Washington DC, USA. This is a two-year, fixed-term, renewable appointment. This position is based at Macro Agriculture Research Institute, Huazhong Agricultural University (Wuhan, China), but might involve travel to the countries in which IFPRI carries out its research.

Essential Duties:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

l Document, catalogue, and manage a very large and growing collection of national, regional and global spatial data sets.

l Write database, object-oriented, or procedural language code to perform specialized analytical functions related to biophysical and economic applications of large datasets.

l Articulate and implement the spatial (primarily raster-based) analysis tasks required to achieve GIS related technical outputs (e.g., reclassification, reprojection, multi-criteria model building, network analysis).

l Contribute to the design to share spatial data, analytical tools and analytical results through both the intranet and the internet, in collaboration with the Information Technology specialists at IFPRI and the CGIAR.

l Process basic biophysical data for given polygons (either spatial or administrative boundaries) or GPS points to be matched to households survey data.

Required Qualifications:

l Master’s degree in Engineering, Geography, Natural resource economics or related field

l Proficient in scientific programming language such as C++, Fortran, Python, or Java

l Familiarity with data management, processing, and analysis

l Significant experience using major GIS software such as ArcGIS or GRASS

l Familiarity with remote sensing applications and modelling, in particular on cropland, grassland and forestry

l Fluency in oral and written English and Chinese

l Excellent writing and analytical skills in both English and Chinese

l Ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues from diverse cultures

l Good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Sound knowledge of international agricultural policy, economic development, and natural resources.

Previous experience working on international development issues and/or extensive knowledge of relevant development issues within an academic context.
