一、學(xué)院介紹

南京大學(xué)人工智能學(xué)院于2018年3月5日下文、5月20日掛牌，是我國C9高校中首個人工智能學(xué)院，致力于建設(shè)人工智能領(lǐng)域國際一流學(xué)術(shù)重鎮(zhèn)和拔尖創(chuàng)新人才培養(yǎng)基地。學(xué)院成立五年來取得了長足發(fā)展，建設(shè)了一支由世界級專家領(lǐng)銜、青年學(xué)者蓬勃成長、具有國際影響力的高水平教師隊伍，并在前沿科技研究、國家重大工程、產(chǎn)學(xué)研協(xié)同創(chuàng)新方面不斷取得重要進(jìn)展。

二、招聘崗位設(shè)置

南京大學(xué)人工智能學(xué)院擬面向全球招聘有志于從事人工智能各主要研究方向的優(yōu)秀人才到學(xué)院工作。本次擬招聘崗位以準(zhǔn)聘助理教授為主，崗位總數(shù)不超過3人，特別優(yōu)秀的高層次人才崗位可另議。研究方向包括：

1.人工智能基礎(chǔ)理論

2.人工智能模型算法

3.人工智能應(yīng)用技術(shù)

4.人工智能系統(tǒng)平臺

三、應(yīng)聘條件

3. 一流的學(xué)術(shù)背景：具有國內(nèi)外一流大學(xué)的人工智能、計算機科學(xué)與技術(shù)或其他相關(guān)學(xué)科的博士學(xué)位（更高層次崗位應(yīng)聘者取得博士學(xué)位至申請截止日期應(yīng)不少于兩年），具有一流教學(xué)科研機構(gòu)的學(xué)習(xí)、工作經(jīng)驗，熟悉相關(guān)領(lǐng)域國際前沿的研究動態(tài)；

4. 出色的教學(xué)能力：應(yīng)具有能夠勝任人工智能專業(yè)核心基礎(chǔ)課程和前沿課程的教學(xué)能力（應(yīng)聘準(zhǔn)聘副教授崗位應(yīng)具有不少于60學(xué)時教學(xué)經(jīng)歷），掌握良好的教學(xué)方法，具有較強的語言表達(dá)能力；

5. 突出的科研成果顯示度與未來科研發(fā)展?jié)摿Γ簯?yīng)有相關(guān)研究方向的成果顯示度，對相關(guān)研究領(lǐng)域有原創(chuàng)性觀點，未來研究計劃思路清晰，具有較好的學(xué)術(shù)潛力。

Tenure-Track/Tenured Faculty Openings in Department of Artificial Intelligence, Nanjing University, China

I. About the Department

The School of Artificial Intelligence of Nanjing University was founded on May 20, 2018 and it is known as the first school of artificial intelligence among the C9 universities in China. It is committed to building a world-class academic center in the field of artificial intelligence and a top-notch training base for innovative talents. The school has achieved promising success since its establishment. The faculty members consist of world-class experts, senior researchers with impact on international research communities, and a group of rising young scholars. By the efforts made by every faculty members, the school is sailing in cutting-edge scientific and technological research, national major projects, and industry-university-research collaborative innovation.

II. Description of Openings

The positions are mainly for tenure-track assistant professor, and the total number of positions does not exceed three. The applicants from high-level talents with exceptionally outstanding records are also accepted and the positions will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Research interests include:

(1) Basic theory of artificial intelligence

(2) Artificial intelligence model algorithm

(3) Artificial intelligence application technology

(4) Artificial intelligence system platform

III. Conditions for Application

The applicant should

(1) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, and have a passion for teaching and research;

(2) Abide by the ethics of teachers, uphold academic integrity, be willing to work diligently, and have no criminal record or record in breaching the ethics of teachers and/or academic integrity;

(3) have a first-rate background in academic training—specifically, a PhD degree in artificial intelligence, computer science or a related area(Candidates for the high-level position must have held a PhD degree no less than two years before the application deadline), experience in studying and/or working at first-rate teaching and research institutions, and knowledge of the latest international trends and development in the relevant research fields;

(4) have outstanding teaching abilities—the applicant should be able to teach core and frontline courses in the Artificial Intelligence discipline (Applicants for tenure-track associate professor position should have at least 60 class hours of teaching experience),and have sound teaching methodology and strong verbal skills;

(5) Demonstrate outstanding research output and potential—the applicant should have publications in his/her field of research, original ideas about relevant fields of research, a clear vision about future research plans, and good potential for further academic development.

IV. Supporting Materials for Application

(2) Detailed curriculum vitae (including publication list and project experience);

(3) No more than 3 representative works and academic contribution and influence (no more than 2000 words);

(4) Research plan and research potential;

(5) Teaching experience and teaching plan;

V. Compensation Package and Support

A successful applicant will be provided with:

(1) An annual salary (to be worked out individually);

(2) A start-up fund for research;

(3) Qualification to supervise graduate students;

(4) The university provides short-term lodging and housing subsidies. Applicants recruited can purchase commercial housing offered by the university at a special discount;

(5) The university provides assistance with children’s schooling at primary and secondary school levels.
